The Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund is pleased to announce an investment in ReBorn, a UK-based circular homewares business.
ReBorn designs and makes everyday items like washing-up bowls, dishracks and drainers, using 100% local plastic waste. All products are made and packaged in the UK using recycled plastic and stainless steel, making them reusable, repairable and recyclable. This local, circular approach significantly reduces environmental impact: ReBorn’s process cuts carbon emissions by 79% compared with equivalent products made in the Far East from virgin materials.
Founded in 2022 by Brian Walmsley, former marketing director at Johnson & Johnson, the company secured early support from the Branson family (Virgin Group), the Conduit EIS Impact Fund Connect and dmg ventures. In March 2026, ReBorn featured in the window display for the John Lewis flagship London Oxford Street store. The display highlighted the recycling process from waste collection to finished homeware product in partnership with waste management company Biffa.
Brian Walmsley, Founder and CEO of ReBorn: “This investment is an important step in scaling ReBorn’s mission to make circular design the standard, not the exception. We’ve proven that waste can be transformed into useful, stylish products - made locally, with significantly lower environmental impact. With Bayes’ support, we’re now focused on accelerating distribution, deepening our B2B partnerships, and continuing to build a brand that consumers trust and retailers value.”
Helen Reynolds, MD and Investment Director of the Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund: “We are delighted to have invested in ReBorn. The combination of environmentally friendly processes with appealing aesthetic designs is very exciting, as evidenced by the company’s recent sales figures and its strong partnerships with John Lewis, Suri and Biffa. We look forward to supporting ReBorn in its growth journey.”
Taos Edmondson, Partner at dmg ventures: “We jumped at the chance to double down on ReBorn, having watched the brand blossom over the past 18 months under Brian’s astute leadership. We’re looking forward to welcoming Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund to the fold and to continue to support ReBorn in tackling this large but stagnant category head-on.”
